Information on the course

Assessment

The admission to the oral exam is granted only scoring at least 10 (out of 20) in the written exam. The oral exam is positively passed scoring at least 5 (out of 12). The exam is positively passed scoring at least 18 (out of 32) as the sum of the score of written and oral exam.

Both the two exams have to be passed in the same session. Usually, the oral is in the same day of the written exam, but, when the number of participants is large, it can be postponed in the following days.

The project can be presented only after the written and oral exams are successfully passed. The presentation date can be fixed with the teacher, not necessarily in an exam date.

The possible project topics will be illustrated during the course. The project can integrate the final grade up to 3 points (although it can depend on the difficulty of the project: the maximum number of points will be indicated when the project will be assigned).

The final grade will result as the sum of the scores of all the parts (written, oral, and project, if any).

To take part to the written exam, it is compulsory to enroll through the university information system, accessible from the SIFA terminals or from a personal computer through Internet (foreign students may ask to the students secretariat). Enrollment must be fulfilled within 3 workdays before the exam session date (e.g., if the exam is on Monday, enrollment have to take place up to the Wednesday of the week before the exam). If case of problems in fulfilling the enrollment, it is compulsory to contact by phone or email the students secretariat or the teacher within the enrollment term. No exceptions are allowed to the enrollment obligation within the term scheduled by the University and above described.

Note: To be admitted to the exams, an academic identity document is required. Students have to bring a blue or black pen (and possibly also a spare one). This is the only permitted material. Books, computer, and other devices (e.g., cell phones) are not admitted. Paper and scratch paper will be provided at the beginning of the exam (a pen, instead will not provided, so students have to bring it - and possibly also a spare one).

The syllabus there described refers mainly to the 6 CFU course, but it contains also information for the 5 CFU course.

Students interested to the 5 CFU course that have already attended the course with a different syllabus are kindly requested to contact the teacher for finding some suitable agreement on the syllabus for the exam.
