The main window is open when AUTOMATA is started and allows users to define automata layout and architecture and to simulate their computation.
The editing facilities support automata design: to generate and display nodes, to define their attributes and to link them with oriented arcs. The main window is provided with a main menu bar, at the top of the window, through wich users can manage the application, a working session menu, at the left of the window, where users can select editing and computation commands, and with a working area where automata are edited and displayed during the simulations.
Special areas of the main window are the tape area where input is provided to the automaton, nad the stack area, representing the contents of the stack (available only in PDA simulator mode).
