SHORT BIOGRAPHY

I am an Associate Professor at the Università degli Studi di Milano, where I am affiliated with the Dipartimento di Informatica (Computer Science Department). At the Università degli Studi di Milano, I acquired a PhD in Computer Science (March 2014), a MSc degree in Computer Science, and a BSc degree in Network and System Security. My PhD thesis "Preserving Privacy in Data Release" received the ERCIM STM WG 2015 award.

I have been a visiting scholar at George Mason University (USA), Center for Secure Information Systems (2011, 2012, and 2013 summers). From July 2010 to December 2010 I held a position at the Università degli Studi di Milano as a research collaborator. From October 2009 to July 2010 I joined the Sophia Antipolis Research Center of SAP Labs France, collaborating in the context of the EU project PrimeLife.

My research interests are in the area of data protection, privacy and security, in release, outsourcing and emerging scenarios, on which I published several papers in proceedings of international conferences, journals, and books. I authored the book Protecting Privacy in Data Release, Springer, 2015.
