Claudio Bettini is full professor at the Department of Computer Science of the University of Milan, Italy, where he leads the EveryWare Laboratory.


He received a PhD in Computer Science from University of Milan. He was a postdoc fellow at IBM Research, NY, and for extended periods of time a visiting research professor at the Center for Secure Information Systems at George Mason University, VA. He is a member of ACM Sigmod and IEEE Computer Society.


In 2011 he founded EveryWare Technologies, a spin-off of

University of Milan,  developing innovative mobile apps. See for example, the EasySmart Phone prototype, Light Detector, and PCube.


Research interests: Data management in mobile and pervasive computing, Privacy, Context-awareness and context reasoning, Temporal and spatio-temporal data management.
