Short Biography and Research Interests

Claudio Agostino Ardagna received its PhD in Computer Science from the University of Milan, Italy, February 2008. From November 2003 he has been a research collaborator at the Information Technology Department, University of Milan, Italy. From December 2008 he is an assistant professor at the Department of Information Technology of the University of Milan.

He is carrying out research in the context of the EU's Advanced Security Service cERTificate for SOA (ASSERT4SOA) project.

His research interests are in the area of information security and privacy, distributed and cloud computing, SOA certification, access control, mobile networks, and open source security. He investigates the following issues: privacy protection and identity management, protection of Web Service infrastructure, SOA and cloud security and privacy, service security certifications, access control policies and languages, XML security, remote management of mobile networks, mobile networks security and privacy, mobile phone geolocation and knowledge abstraction and management, and open source software.

Currently, he is studying innovative test-based security certification solutions for services, anonymous techniques and protocols for privacy protection in the context of mobile networks, and scalability techniques for PaaS cloud. He also studies, enhanced access control solutions for open Web-based scenario, security assurance techniques, and test-based software security certification solutions. Finally, he is co-author of the book on Open Source Security Certification.
